The Challenge
Vixsoft provide powerful and easy-to-use software to the freight industry and have been doing so for over 35 years. They’ve been utilising Millgate’s expertise and advice for over half a decade, working in partnership to provide their customers with the best possible service.
Recently, Vixsoft came to Millgate needing a helping hand with an infrastructure install. Vixsoft had a customer in Ireland who required help with a new server but was struggling to meet the demands of the job. The server needed everything from delivery to back up so they could run Vixsoft’s software efficiently.
Overall, Millgate has helped Vixsoft with four different server installations since the partnership began.
The Solution
Millgate’s engineers were happy to help and went the extra mile to train Vixsoft on how to do the installation at the same time.
On a bank holiday, we visited the customer site with Vixsoft and installed, migrated, set up and troubleshot the infrastructure. We installed the hard drives, processors, power suppliers and then proceeded to load up the operating system and set up virtual machines. We installed it onto the network and added a complimentary email migration which arose whilst onsite.
Vixsoft’s customer arrived on the Tuesday to a fully-installed server, causing no interruption to their day-to-day workload.
