The Challenge

Established in 2017, Mane Metering Services Ltd provides meter installation, removal and maintenance services to the gas supply industry. The nature of the business means that Mane Metering needs a robust and flexible technology infrastructure to manage both their office and remote teams.

In their second year of business, a technical glitch almost resulted in Mane Metering Services losing access to their email archives. Realising they needed a secure backup solution, they contacted Millgate following a recommendation. Mane Metering were instantly impressed by the knowledge of the team and the attentiveness of their account manager, giving them the confidence to proceed with a cloud server installation

The Solution

Mane Metering needed a solution that would scale with their business. Millgate engineers installed a server that provided scalability and gave them peace of mind their files and emails were securely backed up.

To accommodate their growth, Mane Metering decided to move into a larger premises. Millgate were able to migrate the server seamlessly in addition to installing cabling throughout the new building. The new office now has the scope for up to 24 PCs, an increase from 7 in their previous location.

Additionally, Mane Metering chose to use Millgate as their telecoms supplier due to the flexible nature of our services and the ease of managing all of their tech through one supplier.

We’ve been able to progress as a business while improving our working environment. The team love the new office. It’s just a lovely environment to come to work in. As soon as we decided to move, I could say to the team, “It’s fine, Millgate will sort it.” I look forward to my calls with my account manager at Millgate.

The Results

Mane Metering were able to move to their new office working in collaboration with Millgate during the COVID-19 pandemic. The ease of the move meant they were able to focus on keeping their people safe and effectively adapt to the challenges presented by the lockdown.

The two businesses will now work together to transfer Mane Metering’s Office 365 and emails, setting them up for further growth in the years to come.
