Services Business Development Manager - Systems

Here at Millgate we are in our 21st year and currently looking to hire a dedicated Services BDM. The role will be the dedicated support service for our existing Managed Service portfolio.   • Manage existing contracts within the Millgate services division
  • Conduct QBR’s with our existing customers.
  • Drive growth and depth into these customers
  • Renewals are key for the business, the QBR and Yearly reviews will hopefully retain the business
  • Find new business opportunities within the existing customers
  • When not out on the road, speak to gain new business with local organisations around – Outsourced helpdesk,  Engineering Services and solutions
  • New business development – through referrals, cold calling, social media etc.
  • Knowledge of hardware and services
  • A well-developed network of “end user” business contacts

IT Solutions Specialist - Systems

The primary focus of the role is to develop new business through our existing business portfolio and new business development. Another important focus is to also work alongside the internal IT Account Management teams and the Solutions team to fully understand, qualify, propose and close existing customer’s requirements and opportunities. All opportunities must be logged, kept up to date and diligently guided through the typical stages of the sales cycle. This process requires a good understanding of CRM best practice.

Essential Requirements:

  • A proven track record in business to business IT sales
  • Experience selling support and managed services, such as:
    • Infrastructure Hardware/Software
    • Infrastructure 3rd Line Support
    • Pro-active Monitoring & Resolution
    • Hardware Break/Fix
    • Understanding of Cisco and Core Infrastructures HP, DELL, IBM etc.
  • Pre sales technical ability to discuss solutions & services concepts
  • A professional approach to CRM
  • Proactive, tenacious attitude (coupled with a good sense of humour)
  • Exceptional confidence and communication skills
  • Ability to self-manage and use own initiative
  • Selling support and managed services, such as:
    • Full outsourcing
    • Cloud Managed Services
    • IaaS & PaaS
  • A well-developed network of “end user” business contacts

This role would ideally suit an engineer who is looking to transition into a more consultative role.

Experienced Account Manager - Systems

The main responsibilities in the Account Manager role will be to:
  • Develop sales from new and existing corporate and public sector accounts
  • Spot new potential business opportunities and close deals successfully
  • Achieve GP and revenue targets, along with various KPI’s
  • Keep up-to-date with regulatory factors within the industry
  • To deliver companies expectations in line with budget and target
The successful candidate should have the following:

  • Experience selling IT or technical products
  • Proven ability to drive and develop markets and new business alongside maintaining established customers

Business Development Manager - Connect  

£25,000.00 - £50,000.00 Basic Plus Company Car or car allowance and Benefits. OTE £50,000.00 - £100,000.00 (Uncapped)

This is a very unique and rare sales opportunity. As a Business Development Manager at Millgate you will be responsible for providing voice & data solutions to the existing Millgate customer base of over 6000 companies.

The primary focus of the role is cross sell a full suite of telecom services into the existing IT customer base. You will have your own team of ten internal IT Account Managers, your own Telephone Appointment booker and a Sales Support Executive.

The role involves working with your internal team of IT Account Managers to uncover telecom opportunities for you to close.

Millgate also have a unique salary & commission structure which pays Business Development Managers full on-going revenue share for all telecoms services including calls & lines, broadband, data services, networks and business mobile.

The successful candidate must have the following:
  • A proven track record in business to business telecom sales
  • At least 3 years’ experience selling voice & data solutions

  • Proactive, tenacious attitude (coupled with a good sense of humour)
  • Exceptional communication skills and the confidence to present to board level
  • Ability to self-manage and use own initiative
Ideally the candidate will have:
  • A successful career to date working with a telecoms reseller, dealer, network or service provider
  • Proven team management & account development experience
  • A well-developed network of “end user” business contacts
  • Experience of selling telecom solutions including:
    • Business Mobile – O2, Vodafone, EE preferred
    • Calls & Lines – PSTN, ISDN
    • Data Connectivity – ADSL, EFM, FTTC, Leased Lines, WAN & MPLS
    • VoIP & IP Telecoms – SIP, Hosted Telephony
    • Hosted & Cloud Based Services- Unified Communications, Colocation
    • Telephone Systems – ShoreTel & Mitel preferred
