Our Commitment
Millgate Ltd has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or in any of our supply chains.
We fully support and uphold all aspects of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 in accordance with our industry regulations.
Due Diligence Processes
We work in partnership with a broad range of national and international suppliers and therefore see this as our primary focus for managing and monitoring any potential contravention of the legislation.
We undertake all reasonable and practical steps to ensure that both our own standards and the legislative requirements to uphold the Modern Slavery Act 2015 are met throughout our business and our supply network.
As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk, we have in place systems to:
- Identify and assess potential risk areas in our supply chains.
- Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains.
- Monitor potential risk areas in our supply chains.
- Protect whistleblowers.
Our Effectiveness in Combating Slavery and Human Trafficking
We use the following key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure how effective we have been in ensuring that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in any part of our business or supply chains:
- Completion of audits by external auditors.
- Communication and personal contact with the next link in the supply chain and their understanding of, and compliance with, our expectations.
